Maciej Adamczak – graduated from Jazz and Contemporary Music Department of the Academy of Music in Katowice, in the class of professor Jacek Niedziela (1998).


He was awarded first prize in the Jazz Juniors Competition along with Marcin Zupanski Quartet in Cracow in 1997. He has worked and recorded with musicians such as: Janusz Muniak, Tomasz Szukalski, Piotr Baron, Andrzej Olejniczak, Jan Jarczyk, Joachim Mencel, Kazimierz Jonkisz, Jarek Bester and Pawel Kaczmarczyk. He has performed at many concerts and festivals in Poland and several countries around the world. Since 2007 he has taught double bass class at Contemporary Music, Jazz and Percussion Department of the Academy of Music in Cracow.

About

Zbigniew Seifert (1946-1979) was one of the most eminent Polish jazz musicians and a man of incredible musical talent. His untimely death did not let him fully develop his musical abilities and interrupted a promising worldwide career.
