MARK FELDMAN – world renowned jazz violinist. In 2002, he took part as a soloist in premiere performances of works by Guss Janssen and Bill Dobins. His engagements include concerts with such ensembles as: Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, WDR Jazz Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, WDR Radio Orchestra and Basil Symphonetta. He recorded John Zorn’s ‘String Quartets’ (Tzadik Records) and his very own composition ‘Book of Tells’ for string quartet (Enja Records). He toured with artists including Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor, Paul Bley, Billy Hart, Lee Konitz, Joe Lovano, Anthony Davis, Dave Douglas, Richard Galliano, The Arcado String Trio, Louis Sclavis, Muhal Richard Abrams, Wolfgang Puschnig, Tim Berne, Mark Dresser and Uri Caine, Abaton trio and many more. In the past ten years, John Zorn has engaged Mark in a number of concerts and recordings with such combos as Masada String Trio, Bar Kokhba, as well as in film and chamber music projects. Feldman appears as a soloist on more than 150 jazz albums, including his own productions – ‘Music for Violin Alone’ (Tzadik Records) and ‘What Exit’ (October 2006, ECM). In the capacity of a composer, he not only wrote for but also performed with the Kronos Quartet and WDR Radio Orchestra. He also has been present in commercial music, working as a session musician with Sheryl Crow, The Manhattan Transfer, Diana Ross and Carole King. For many years, Mark Feldman cooperates with ECM Records label. Currently, he has been performing with John Abercrombie Quartet that features also Joey Baron and Marc Johnson.

Zbigniew Seifert (1946-1979) was one of the most eminent Polish jazz musicians and a man of incredible musical talent. His untimely death did not let him fully develop his musical abilities and interrupted a promising worldwide career.
