He was a pioneer of a new violin technique, as well as a sax player who could somehow translate saxophone music into Coltrane’s language. Nobody had played the violin like him before. There was universal astonishment, acclaim, and also pride that one of us, a Pole, had made such a contribution on a global scale, proposing an innovative treatment of the instrument and of the violin sound.
