Concert of jazz violinists in Cascadas Bar

October 2, 2015 at 8 PM will take place of the jazz violinists concert in Cascadas Bar in Hamburg.

Yuriy Sych: Piano, Synthesizers
Born in the Ukraine Yuriy Sych closed his studies of classical piano in his hometown Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine) at the age of 18 with honouring.
He moved to Germany to continue his piano studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt. During his classical education he started to be interested of jazz and founded in 2006 the Contrast Quartet. He achieved with this Quartet the "Scholarship Jazz“ of the City of Frankfurt . Parallel to classical music Sych also studied "Jazz and Popular music" at the University of Music Mannheim in the class of Professor Jörg Reiter. During this time he played with Nils Wogram as well as on the German jazz festival in 2008 with Christof Lauer and in 2014 with Peter Klohmann. He works regularly in the City Theatre of Frankfurt. Yuriy likes to work with electronic devices and is into sound and music production.
Tim Roth: Bass, Sound Effects
After picking up guitar and electric bass at an early age, Tim Roth started playing the upright bass at the age of 18. Soon after he began his studies in jazz and popular music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam where he enjoyed lessons and masterclasses with musicians such as Peter Bernstein or Peter Erskine. With the band Animated he reached the second price at the International Jazz Piano Concours Amsterdam in 2009. He currently lives in Frankfurt where he won the jazzscholarship of the city of Frankfurt am Main with the group Contrast Quartet. The bands second album which Tim Roth produced and co-composed was released in 2015 on CD and vinyl. He frequently takes part as a musician in stageplays at the Frankfurter Schauspielhaus and records sound and music music for film. Tim loves listening most to Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus, Duke Ellington, HipHop and electronic music.
Martin Standke – Drums, Samples, Percussion
Martin began his musical education with playing the piano at the age of eight and discovered his interest for the drums some years later.
He studied teacher of music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt and at the same time at the Cologne University of Music, majoring in jazz drums.
Twice he was a member of different bands which achieved the "Scholarship Jazz“ of the City of Frankfurt .
In the same year he played with the winner of the Hessian Jazz Award 2010 Stephan Schmolck at the German Jazz Festival and he can also be heard on several recordings with the HR Jazz Ensemble.
Martin lives in Frankfurt and works frequently for the Schauspiel Frankfurt.

Zbigniew Seifert (1946-1979) was one of the most eminent Polish jazz musicians and a man of incredible musical talent. His untimely death did not let him fully develop his musical abilities and interrupted a promising worldwide career.
