​After studying classical violin, obtaining her teaching diploma from the Conservatory of Fribourg (Switzerland) and her concert diploma from the Conservatory of Geneva, Eva Slongo now plays improvised music. She took jazz violin classes with Pierre Blanchard at the Conservatory of Lausanne, and then pursued her interest at the Didier Lockwood School near Paris. She mainly plays jazz and gipsy jazz (manouche), performing in many clubs, theaters and festivals: Sunset-Sunside, Entrepôt, Baiser Salé, Festival de jazz d’Orléans, Théâtre du Châtelet, Théâtre du Ruteboeuf à Clichy, Festival jazz in août a la Rochelle, Festival de Marciac, Festival Django Reinhardt à Salbris, etc…

She plays with many different musicians and bands: Mélanie Dahan, Giovanni Mirabassi, Tony Bonfils, Noé Rheinhardt, Sébastien Giniaux, Adrien Moignard, Kamlo Barré, Rocky Gresset, Samy Daussat, Béro Landauer, Podzi, Antoine Boyer, etc. She participated in Didier Lockwood’s creation for the Festival des musiques sacrées de Fès in Morocco. In May 2011 she partook in the international Stephane Grappelli competition, where she won the prize for the best improvisation. At the moment, she plays regularly with Ninine Garcia, for example in the festivals of Angers, Jonzac, and Tuileries in Paris. In 2013, she contributed in the creation of two records, the albums of Kamlo Barré « Oriental minor blues » and of Wawau Adler « Expressions », with whom she also played on the mythic scene of the Django Reinhardt festival of Samois-sur-Seine. This same year, she also created her trio with her own compositions.

Zbigniew Seifert (1946-1979) was one of the most eminent Polish jazz musicians and a man of incredible musical talent. His untimely death did not let him fully develop his musical abilities and interrupted a promising worldwide career.
